- Checklist for Submission Preparation
As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that their submission meets all the elements listed below. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to the authors.
- The article is well-written with no grammatical or spelling errors. The syntax aids understanding, sentences are short, and there is no excessive use of subordinate clauses or digressions. There is agreement between gender and number. One of the main formal reasons for rejection by reviewers is deficiencies in manuscript writing.
- The submission is original and has not been previously published or submitted simultaneously to any other journal (or an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor).
- The document is in Microsoft Word format, adhering to editorial guidelines and formats. The Word template, which can be downloaded from the section About > Submissions > Author Guidelines, has been used, respecting typographic, stylistic, and bibliographic indications.
- All references contain complete and verifiable bibliographic information in APA format. Only sources mentioned in the text are included in the reference list, and whenever possible, DOI and URL identifiers are provided for references.
- All figures and tables have been inserted into the body of the text. All figures have been optimized to the minimum weight (kB) that allows for proper reading. Figures and tables cannot be image groups and must not exceed the margins set for the text. Any article not meeting this standard will be automatically and immediately rejected upon arrival at the editorial office.
- The author has the rights or permissions to publish the images.
- The manuscript does not contain pages in landscape format.
- The manuscript must be a draft of the final article project, containing all required information. Any article with low-quality images, illegible (without zooming), not justified within text margins, not referenced in the text, or without proper authorship (with the necessary rights requested by the author) will be automatically rejected.
- The manuscript does not contain any indication that identifies the authorship of the work to the blind reviewers. This includes the need for the title of the work not to replicate previous publications. There should be no electronic trace of authorship in the Word file properties (see file anonymization tutorial). Any article violating this rule will be automatically and immediately rejected.
- Special care should be taken with the bibliography format (APA style). Any article whose bibliography does not correspond exclusively to the works cited in the text and vice versa will be rejected.
- Articles written in a language other than that of the authors must be accompanied by a certificate issued by a competent professional in the language used in the text. This certificate will be presented if the article is selected for publication.
- By submitting the manuscript, authors agree to participate as potential reviewers for future works of others.
- Author Guidelines
Templates for the preparation and submission of articles: Before submitting, the following documents must be downloaded:
- Editorial Instructions Template (first submission)
- Acceptance of Editorial Guidelines (first submission)
- Review Form (review stage, second submission)
Please read the instructions carefully and follow the formats of the Editorial Instructions Template. Remember that the article should be written directly on the template, without altering fonts, margins, etc. The submission must upload the Word file, with a size no larger than 10 MB (10,240 KB) and a maximum of 25 pages, including tables and figures. Additionally, the acceptance of editorial guidelines document, duly signed in PDF format, must be attached.
Basic Aspects to Consider
About the Language of Articles Authors will submit their original and final manuscripts in the original language (if Latin), including the title, abstract, and keywords in both the language of the work and English. Articles written in non-Latin languages should be submitted only in English.
About the Length of Articles The length of articles must not exceed 25 pages, using Palatino Linotype font size 10, in a Letter size (8.5x11) format, with a line spacing of 0.95. Contributions to the notes section may be significantly shorter (minimum 8 pages). The abstract of the text should be around 250 words and will be counted in the total length of the document. The abstract should have the following structure: (1) Background/Purpose of the Study: place the question or purpose in a broad context and highlight the purpose of the study; (2) Methods: briefly describe the methods used; (3) Results: summarize the main findings of the article; (4) Conclusions: state the main conclusions. The abstract should be objective and should not include results that are not presented and supported in the main text, nor should it exaggerate the main conclusions. The abstract must fit within the specified framework and should not exceed it.
About the Manuscript Structure The original must contain:
- The title of the article.
- A brief abstract (250 words) that includes: (1) Background/Purpose of the Study: place the question or purpose in a broad context and highlight the purpose of the study; (2) Methods: briefly describe the methods used; (3) Results: summarize the main findings of the article; (4) Conclusions: state the main conclusions. The abstract should be objective and should not include results that are not presented and supported in the main text, nor should it exaggerate the main conclusions. Manuscripts for the notes section, especially when reviewing other works, may omit the abstract.
- Keywords should be approximately three to six words separated by semicolons, different from those in the title.
- Footnotes should be placed at the bottom of the text, not at the end.
- References should be formatted according to APA style.
About Text Styles and Format Page orientation will be vertical in all cases. Landscape orientation for figures and tables is not allowed.
-
Text Style. Throughout the document, the font to be used is Palatino Linotype. Titles and subtitles should be in size 10. The body text, bibliography, and titles of tables and figures should be in size 9. Finally, notes on tables or figures, as well as footnotes, should be in size 8. The Word Template contains the submission guidelines.
-
Table and Figure Format. All figures and tables must be cited as in Figure 1, Table 1, etc. Tables and figures should be numbered separately and consecutively with Arabic numerals. Titles for both elements should be placed at the top. Tables and figures should be accompanied, at the top, by the source and at the bottom, by the reference or source of authorship, as well as any pertinent notes to clarify their content. It is requested that plans or photographs included in the document be in compressed JPG format to lighten the weight of the electronic document, while maintaining adequate quality.
About Digital Submission
Only proposals submitted through the electronic platform in Word format will be accepted. It is strictly necessary that each article is fully included in a single file. Articles segmented into different files or in PDF format will not be accepted.
About the Bibliography
The end of the article is reserved for the bibliography, in which citations should appear in APA format, with each author's work ordered chronologically from oldest to most recent.

About Editorial Ethics Criteria
Articles submitted to Entropico must be original and unpublished. Plagiarism and full self-plagiarism are unacceptable. By submitting a manuscript, authors implicitly certify that this is the case and that the article is not under parallel evaluation processes at other journals, nor does it have pending editorial commitments.
In the case of articles resulting from previously presented conference papers, mention must be made in a footnote; however, the content of the article should not be exactly the same as the presentation. Articles resulting from unpublished or published theses (master's and doctoral) must mention this in a footnote, indicating the academic program from which it derives.
The opinions expressed in the articles are the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the editorial opinion. All individuals listed as authors are responsible for the research content for having contributed substantially to its material and/or intellectual realization. Authorship, on the other hand, represents the acknowledgment of contributions made to the field of knowledge, so it is the primary author's responsibility to agree with the team involved in the research on the persons who appear as authors and their order.
If figures or tables from other publications are used, authors are responsible for obtaining permission from the respective publishers for reproduction. The final submission of the article implicitly certifies this fact.
At the end of the article, acknowledgments should be cited, specifying sources of research funding (if any) as well as substantial assistance, advice, or recommendations provided
