Abstract
The sum of historical strata or successive architectural contemporaneities in founding centers of Latin America and the Caribbean are the result of responses to sociocultural and physical-spatial causes as a temporal-spatial constant of our cities based on difference, diversity and cultural syncretism, which encompass productions from the Amerindian worlds, passing through the Hispanic incidence and arriving at the project exploration of our days.
According to the above, the purpose of this proposal is to recognize the main creation criteria on contemporary architecture in heritage contexts, whose center of study, as a specific pretext, is the historic center of Bogotá (Colombia), declared an Asset of Interest National Cultural, especially revealing what has happened and transformed in the last two decades; For its development, theories, international and national concepts are addressed, as well as local study references that allow identifying the interaction findings of said historical layers as a continuous process of contemporary needs that have added to the consolidation of cities, highlighting characteristics. typological, morphological and tectonic from processes of valuation of immovable material cultural heritage.
Finally, and as a conclusion, the evolution of thought and spatial contributions between heritage and architectural contemporaneity in the historic center of Bogotá is synthesized, as a reflection of the time-space and container-content relationship, noting that both urbanism and architecture are causal due to the diverse sociocultural needs of their communities in their territories and not as a sporadic or projectual appearance that many claim to occur in recent times, where architectural creation has a seal of origin that gives it identity and difference with respect to others. from the same period and place.
