Abstract

In this article we propose that in order for transdisciplinarity to be developed to its maximum potential in General Studies, various epistemologies and world experiences must be incorporated into the knowledge integration processes that are inherent to it. Since transdisciplinary processes require teamwork, both in research and teaching, scientific and academic actors, as well as community, business, government, etc., must participate on equal terms. This represents a challenge for which General Studies is not yet prepared.
